To give up or not to?

You cant just throw the blame at the young whos busy playing with their ds or psp, can't those people who need it ask for it?
yes, its morally not right to not give up your seat to the old, pregnant etc.
but what if my bag is filled with books, weighing 3kg and I've been carrying it the entire day and just want to rest my shoulders and legs compared to someone who appears to be in their 50s but is still strong and able?

why do people always blame the young about everything that happens? a forty year old should jolly well give up his seat if he sees a pregnant lady. no? will the pregnant lady insist that a student give up his seat for her?

come on, don't put all the blame on the Gen Ys!
